Summer Reading: Adventure Begins at Your Library Monday, June 3 - Saturday, August 3

Get the Beanstack App & Log Your Summer Reading
Summer Reading for all ages begins on Monday, June 3. You can participate in this year’s Summer Reading Challenge using the Beanstack app. Log your reading and track your progress in the app or online. Visit the Library’s Summer Reading website northvillelibrary.beanstack.org for more details, or download Beanstack from your device’s app store to get started.

Paper logs will also be available at the Information Desk. Finish your challenge to receive a prize! Rewards vary by age group.

YOUTH will receive a free book, a token for our prize-filled gumball machine, and an entry into the Youth Grand Prize Drawing.

The Summer Reading Program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Northville District Library.

June – August (Drop in) Ages 2 – 11. Pick up a new craft kit each month, available while supplies last. First-come, first served. Limit one per child, per month, please.

School Supplies Drive.

Cooke School Supplies Drive

June 17 – August 12 (Drop in) Cooke School is a special education program that serves students across Western Wayne County. To support their work, the Library is hosting a supplies drive for the most commonly needed classroom items. Please check online or in person at the Library to find out how you can help.

Darth Vader Lunch Box

ALL AGES GRAND PRIZE

We are excited to offer a Library-Wide Summer Reading Grand Prize this year! We were able to receive a special Star Wars lunch box signed by James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader. If you count yourself as a Star Wars fan, be sure to read, read, read to be entered into our drawing! Participants of all ages who finish their age group’s challenge will automatically be entered.

Monday, July 29 at 6 PM Monday, July 29 at 7:30 PM Ages 8-12. Step into another world full of wizards and witches. Cauldrons will bubble and potions will change color. Is it magic or chemistry? 1000 Books Before Kindergarten

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple. The rewards are priceless. Read a book to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your child starts kindergarten.
